舞象基金會命名由來 基金會名稱由來 Dancing With The Elephant 名稱是由英文的諺語 elephant in the room 啟迪而來。希望所有的個人及家庭能轉化這隻阻塞自己及家庭內在連結的大象，透過一種更適合自己的生活方式，與我們的人生課題和諧共舞，得到深刻的幸福。 中文名稱 「舞象」 除了表達英文名稱的意思更諧音無相 （梵語： animitta ） Origin of Our Name The elephant in the room is an English idiom that refers to an obvious problem that people do not want to talk about. Through our programs, we hope to help families have congruent conversations to address the elephant in the room, learn to dance with the lessons of life, and be freed from suffering. Aside from the allusion to this English metaphor, Dancing Elephant in Mandarin is a homophone for "animitta " in Sanskrit, which refers to seeking truth without perceptual attributes.
舞象基金會宗旨 舞象基金會是登記於美國的501(c)(3) 非營利性組織，初期主要對象為在美國之華裔居民，但隨著網路無國界的擴展，已經連結到全世界的華人。致力於一種從仁慈的人性獲得啟示，透過理性思維推動的一種生活方式，從個人內在自我覺察，進而促進人與人之間深刻及一致性的溝通對話，探索與連結彼此，讓愛湧動，生命豐盛喜悅。 特別針對華裔家庭的文化及需求，設計和提供不同年紀層相關活動及課程，希望能協助建立更良好的人我關係，提高個人及家庭的幸福感。 Mission Statement Dancing with the Elephant is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily serving the Chinese community in the United States. Through cultivating rational thinking, self awareness, and the ability to have congruent conversations, we hope to help people connect more deeply with others and live a loving, fruitful, and joyful life. All programs and classes are designed with Chinese American family's culture and needs in mind. We offer programs for a wide range of ages and interests in service of helping people develop better relationships with others and themselves and increase our personal and our family's happiness index.
